The Black Stars of Ghana on Wednesday began their first training session ahead of the 2022 Kirin Cup at the Kobe City Misaki Park Stadium in Japan.

The team after playing their second Group E match in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Central African Republic, made their way to Osaka in Japan to prepare for the four-nation tournament.

The tournament is part of competitions lined up for the team to prepare ahead of the 2022 Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Qatar this year.

This would help Head Coach of the team, Otto Addo to select players for the biggest football tournament and also the AFCON.

Ghana would face host nation Japan in the opener of the Kirin Cup tomorrow as the winner would have to meet either Tunisia or Chile for the finals depending on who wins that game.

The team would begin their official training at the Noevir Stadium today to finally prepare for tomorrow’s match.

Coach Otto Addo and his charges have so far shown some level of improvements in their previous games and are expected to put in much effort in this tournament after drawing 1-1 with Central African Republic in the AFCON over the weekend.
