Ghana defender Awal Mohammed has told GHANASoccernet.com he was forced to terminate his contract with Saudi side Al Shabab over failed promises from the club.
The 27-year-old spent only three months at the club where he played nine appearances including matches in the Asian Champions League.
Mohammed felt stabbed in the back when the Riyadh-based side reneged on their promises-details he failed to divulge.
?A lot of things were wrong and they made a lot of promises to me and after three months I have realized that all have not been met,? the centre-back exclusively told GHANAsoccernet.com
?It?s a bit frosty at the moment and for my career, I think there is a lot of football out there for me.
??I have been here for some time and the truth too is that I am not happy and for me that?s number one so I decided to end it before it gets further.?
Awal is expected back in Ghana later this week but reports are that Orlando Pirates and other South African clubs are monitoring his situation with a possible return to the Rainbow nation on the cards.
