The Minister of Communication, Honourable Dr Edward Omane Boamah will open the first Ghana eCommerce Exhibition and conference that takes place?on Thursday,?29th and Friday, 30th August 2013?at the Accra International Conference Centre. Ghana’s only eCommerce event showcasing all multi-channel and online solutions for doing secure business over the internet is under the theme ?Building Ghana?s Businesses Online?.
The objectives of the first Ghana e-Commerce Expo include: to create opportunities for showcasing e-Commerce services, solutions and products; to create nationwide awareness among Ghanaians about e-Commerce and its prospects; to explore opportunities that might be created through extending the use of e-Commerce services and products ;to encourage investment initiatives in the field of e-Commerce, etc
Some notable speakers at the Ghana eCommerce conference are Professor Nii Narku Quaynor (2013 Internet Hall of Fame Inductee); Dr Pradeep Murkherjee(President, Avasant); William Tevie (Director General, National IT Agency);Alexander Sulzberger(CEO, Ecoband Networks); Kofi Dadzie (CEO, Rancard Solutions); Derrydean Dadzie(CEO, DreamOval); Dennis Chattaway(management adviser) and many other reputable experts.
Delegates from Ghana, Nigeria and India will be taken through 2 days of various key areas of trading online with some topics such as “Developing an eCommerce Strategy?;”Practical Online Payment Solutions”; “Mobile Money Transfer & the Rural Economy”; “How to Use eMarketing for your Business””Growing your Business with Mobile Social Commerce”; “E-Business Ecosystem, the Ghana Perspective”; “Cyber Fraud-the Seamless Frontier” and many more.
The exhibition, which is free to attend, will have on display various Ghanaian online solutions and products with an impressive list of exhibitors including Tigo, Ghanadot.com, Internet Ghana, Delilah?s Secret, Ghanafx, NandiMobile, eBuyGhana, Airtel,mNotify, Promobile Gh, inCharge Global, and Mpower. Other exhibiting companies include Business Ghana, TXQGlobal, dotGhana, Accolm, Printing and Imaging Solutions and many others.
“We’re incredibly excited to have such a wide variety of companies involved in all aspects of ecommerce speaking and exhibiting at Ghana eCommerce Expo,” said Paul Asinor, Event Director, OML Africa, the organisers.
“While attendees will benefit from practical advice about how they can better exploit the internet and other their social media channels positively for their businesses, they will also be able to get a glimpse of how ecommerce will change in the future, and how they can best position themselves to take advantage of this.”
