Ghana’s men’s national soccer team, the Black Satellites on Tuesday beat the Ngorongoro Heroes of Tanzania 4-0 to kick off the under-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C at Nouadhibou, Mauritania.

The Black Satellites scored a brace during each half of the game to secure a comfortable win against debutants Tanzania.

With the win, Ghana tops Group C ahead of its next game against Morocco.

Ghana is a three-time winner of the U20 AFCON in 1993, 1999, and 2009. The Black Satellites also won the U20 world cup in Egypt in 2009.

The U20 AFCON, which commenced on February 14, will end on March 6. Enditem
