Ghana National Gas Company has officially opened the Abakrampa Children’s Ward, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility equipped with advanced medical services. It aims to provide high-quality medical care for women and children in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region.

The initiative underscores Ghana Gas’s commitment to improving community health infrastructure across the country, particularly in underserved areas like Abakrampa. The facility is not just a building, but a beacon of hope, intended to alleviate pressure on existing healthcare facilities within the district, ensuring enhanced access to healthcare services for local residents.

During the commissioning ceremony, Elvis Morris Donkoh, Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese, expressed gratitude to Ghana Gas for fulfilling the community’s longstanding request for improved healthcare facilities. He emphasised the facility’s potential to benefit Abakrampa and neighbouring communities under its jurisdiction.

Francis Augustin Badu, Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility at Ghana Gas, highlighted the company’s strategic focus on socio-economic development through initiatives spanning health, education, sports, water, sanitation, livelihood empowerment, and community engagement.

He credited the collaborative effort between stakeholders, including local leaders’ invaluable and proactive advocacy for successfully realising the Abakrampa Children’s Ward.

Paramount Chief Emintsinminim Out Xl of the Abura Asebu Kwamankese Traditional Area expressed gratitude to Ghana Gas for its proactive community engagement and responsiveness to local needs. He emphasised the importance of strategic advocacy in securing developmental projects for communities.

The commissioning of the Abakrampa Children’s Ward represents a significant step toward improving healthcare infrastructure in the Central Region. This aligns with Ghana Gas’s unwavering commitment to contributing to national development across all 16 regions of Ghana.
