The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has watered down reports that the Black Stars will play Montenegro in a friendly game as the Black Stars seek to boost its preparation for the World Cup.
Reports suggest that the Montenegro FA have released a statement on its official website confirming that the match will be played on? March 5?at the City Stadium in Podgorica.
But Ghana FA spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie Daara has denied the report, stating that Ghana FA has not received any agreement with any football association to play a friendly game.
“So far it’s what we are reading on the Montenegro FA website Officially, the communication department of the Ghana FA has not been informed that there is a friendly game against Montenegro,” Daara told Joy Sports.
“Just last week Colombia FA also came out that they wrere playing Ghana. When we have reached a deal that is agreeable to the Ghana FA, we’ll make it public.”
“We want to take our time to do everything and announce everything at the right time.”
Ghana will face the United States, Germany and Portugal in Group G at the 2014 FIFA World Cup which starts in June.
