Ghana Oct. PPI moderates to 2.8 percent on lower crude prices

Lower crude oil prices on the world market has had its pull-down effect on the Producer Price Index in Ghana.

The October industry inflation rose 2.8 percent in October, down 2 percentage points relative to the 4.8 percent rise in September, the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) said here on Wednesday.

The monthly change rate was -0.7 percent compared with 2.1 percent monthly inflation rate recorded in September.

Acting Deputy Government Statistician, Anthony Amuzu, attributed the moderated PPI growth last month to lower inflation in the manufacturing and utilities sectors. Enditem
