Ghana picked up their first point at the World Cup and got themselves back in contention of qualifying to the next round of the World Cup after drawing 2-2 with Germany on Saturday in Fortaleza.

It was a game that had everything and the lots of captivating moments as the second half produced all four goals.

The Black Stars now have a fair chance of reaching the Round of 16 for the third-straight time with a game against Portugal to come next week.

Andre Ayew, struck his second goal of the tournament when he equalised in the 54th minute through a header past Manuel Neuer to cancel Mario Goetze?s opener three minutes before.

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, who became the most-capped Ghana player at the World Cup, earning his ninth cap then put his team in front in the 63rd minute for the first time.

Gyan?s was fed with a ball from midfield and sped past his marker before angling a shot into the net to earn his fifth goal at the World Cup after making his debut in 2006.

He now becomes the first African to score in three straight World Cups.

However, eight minutes later, substitute Miroslav Klose turned in a header from close range after a corner had been directed to the far post.

A point earned will come in handy as Kwesi Appiah?s side now turn their focus towards their final group game on Thursday at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia.
