Ghana Premier League: Wa All Stars Maintain Lead

The league leaders Wa All Stars maintained their fine form by beating Inter Allies over the weekend at the Malik Jabir Park, to maintain the top of the league with 20 points from nine games in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.


Hearts of Oak, who have been in the news recently with all the wrong reasons is currently occupying the second position on the league table, after beating the defending champions Ashgold at the Len Clay Stadium by 2:1, with all goals coming from Cosmos Dauda.

Techiman City beat Bechem United by two goals from Ibrahim Issaka and Isaac Baah to move to 14 points on the league table after nine games.

A brace from Chelsea captain Sadick Adams and an opener from Seth Appiah was all that was needed for Chelsea to see off Dreams FC, at the Golden City Park as Chelsea are now on 16 points after week nine of the Ghana premier league.

Michael Osei´s winning run was brought to an end since he took over from David Duncan as Kotoko Head Coach, when New Edubiase beat Kotoko by a goal to nil at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. Prince Antwi´s first half goal was just enough for Edubiase to take all points at stake to take them to 13th on the league table after match day nine in the ongoing premier league.
