Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama has announced a ministerial reshuffle Saturday, reassigning the Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Collins Dauda, to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
A statement signed by Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah also announced Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Mensah as the new Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, with Mahama Ayariga moving to the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.
Minister of State at the Presidency, Mustapha Ahmed takes over as Minister for Youth and Sports, with Akwasi Oppong-Fosu, moving to the Presidency as a Minister of State.
The statement also announced the President’s nomination of Alex Segbefia, Deputy Minister for Defence, as Minister for Health and the headmaster of Tepa Senior High School in the Ashanti region, Peter Anarfi-Mensah, as new Ashanti Regional Minister.
The reshuffle comes a month after president Mahama sacked his chief of Staff Prosper Bani as well as the Ashanti regional minister and his deputy. Enditem
