
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has approved the local production of face masks in an effort to contain the COVID-19 outbreak the country.
“We have come to a point where we are advising everybody to use facial masks, especially those who have flu-like symptoms,” GHS director-general Patrick Aboagye told a briefing on Friday, wearing a locally made mask.
He said the locally made masks will be reusable and good for the economic situation of many.
Ghana has reported 204 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with three recoveries and five deaths, while 49 are on home management, pending further tests and possible discharge. Enditem
