The Ghana Water Company Limited has presented 100 packs of bottled water to the Upper East Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.
The donation is to support the care of COVID-19 patients in the facility.
Mr Frank Fuseini Adongo, the Upper East Deputy Regional Minister, who presented the bottles of water on behalf of government, thanked the GWCL for the gesture and called on other organizations to come to the aid of the hospital.

Mr Zakariah Yakubu, the Head of Administration of the Hospital, who received the package on behalf of management of the facility, thanked the GWCL for “remembering us in these difficult times.”
He said the Regional Hospital was the only treatment centre for COVID-19 patients in the Region, “All the COVID-19 patients in the Region are being managed here, so if we have benevolent organizations coming to our aid to ensure that we provide the best quality of care to them at this crucial point, it is welcome.”
Mr Yakubu urged members of the general public to keep safe and adhere to the Ghana Health Service protocols, saying the virus was no respecter of persons.
