The GhanaFest Europe Trade & Cultural Fair, a major international trade and cultural exhibition, will be launched in Amsterdam on September 1, 2024.
The three-day event promotes investment across several sectors, including ICT, agro-processing, real estate, food processing and packaging, cocoa processing, horticulture, and health.
Organized by RAM Media Concepts, the fair is supported by various organizations, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration, the Ghana Embassy in the Netherlands, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce, the Ghana Netherlands Chamber of Culture and Commerce, and the Ministries of Trade and Industry and Tourism, Arts, and Culture.
The event seeks to foster bilateral trade, promote tourism, and attract foreign direct investment into Ghana’s economy.
Augustine Mark, CEO of RAM Media Concepts, expressed confidence in the event’s potential to connect Ghanaian businesses, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs), with European counterparts through business-to-business matchmaking sessions.
The fair will feature a cultural showcase, including a durbar of Ghanaian chiefs, traditional and folklore music performances, and exhibitions of African traditional and contemporary products.
The launching ceremony will occur at the Holiday Inn Amsterdam Arena in Bijlmer.
The fair is expected to attract over 100 exhibitors, 7,000 attendees from Ghana and Europe, and participants from the Caribbean and Asia.
Mark emphasized that the event will allow Ghanaian businesses to expand their markets and enhance their international presence.
Exhibitors will also be able to participate in facility tours of selected companies in the Netherlands.
He encouraged Ghanaian businesses interested in international opportunities to register as exhibitors or attendees, noting that registration slots are now open.
