The Reverend Isaac Obed Asamoah, Senior Pastor of Gospel Faith Ministries in Accra, says if leaders of the nation would learn to sacrifice and put the interest of the citizens first, Ghana will be the best place to live in.
?We must remember as a nation that great achievement is usually born out of great sacrifice, and it is never the result of selfishness, hatred, nepotism and corruption,? he said.
Preaching on the theme: ?Entering Your Promised Land at the 2014 watch night service to members of the congregation at A-Lang ?, Rev Asamoah said all Ghanaians should work harder and take up initiatives that would propel them into greater heights ?so we can together, attain a better Ghana, thereby entering our promised land in 2015?.
He urged the leadership of the nation to ?critically think about what to do when our people are going through difficult times and what measures to put in place to liberate them from such hardship and do so accordingly?
He said ?the New Year would see the people of God walking into new dimensions of prosperity which will be attributed to the hand of God. ?Goodness and mercies will follow us and we will be a blessing unto others. God will water our lives with His increase and his wealth as an outpouring of blessings unto us?.
Rev Asamoah urged Christians to be good ambassadors for Jesus Christ ?in order to make a difference in the midst of a world that is in turmoil.?
He also advised Christians and Ghanaians to remember to first rely and trust in God for him to see them through the New Year.
Rev Asamoah led the congregation most of who were clad in white apparels to prayed for the country, President John Mahama and all leaders in the nation.
