Ghana’s leading telecommunications giant , MTN Ghana in collaboration with Izone and Garmin has introduced Garmin Health Wrist Watches unto the Ghanaian market.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, the Chief Marketing Officer Mr. Asher Khan, noted that the evolution of technology has paved the way for numerous innovation to the extent that there are technology solutions that provide answers to almost everything under the sun.

“One of such innovative technologies is the Garmin Health Watch technology which measures heart rate at your wrist and allows you to track your sleep pattern and many more.

This innovative device which runs on data is being launched first on MTN’s network for our cherished subscribers to enjoy the benefits it provides”, he explained.

Adding that, the device will contribute positively in enhancing health and fitness amongst the working class.

According to him, customers who buy this watch will enjoy its usage since MTN provides the fastest internet connections.

” This year, a total amount of 96 million dollars has been invested in IT and network infrastructure including 4G roll out and i can assure you that the experience will be very good”, he disclosed.

He has therefore urged all their customers to go for the Garmin watches and track their their health.

In the past, MTN has partnered Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to provide bundled data access on the smartphones they produced. Our partnership with OEMs such as Huawei , Techno , Infinix , Microsoft , RLG and Samsung have yielded very positive results over the years, contributing to an increase in the number of data subscribers on MTN network and driving significant internet penetration in Ghana as a whole.
In his presentation, the Sub Sahara Africa Business Development Manger of Garmin Southern Africa (PTY) LTD Mr. Mike Clarke , noted that there is an increased awareness around the world regarding health , especially obesity and the associated illness .

The device will go a long way to help users to track , monitor and record daily activities and also motivate them towards a healthier lifestyle.

Garmin is the world’s leading satellite navigation devices, handheld GPS units, and products for the auto , mobile, marine , aviation , outdoor , fitness and wellness sectors.
