Naana Eyiah, Ghana’s Deputy Minister for the Interior, underscored the critical role of cyber security in safeguarding national security and economic stability.
At the handover ceremony of cyber security equipment and office furniture donated by the Danish Government to the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) in Accra, Madam Eyiah emphasized the potential consequences of compromised cyber security, including data breaches and service disruptions.
“We recognize that cyber threats pose significant risks to our systems, affecting national security and the economy,” Madam Eyiah stated.
She expressed gratitude to the Danish Government for its donation, which enhanced Ghana’s cyber security capabilities. She also emphasized the importance of international cooperation in combating cyber threats.
The equipment provided is expected to bolster the GIS’s capacity to safeguard sensitive information and maintain operational resilience against evolving cyber threats.
