Ghana’s Marian Ibrahim says she is ready for Commonwealth games


Marian Ibrahim, a Ghanaian female tennis player has disclosed that she is ready for the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas.

The tennis player in an interview with the GNA sports said she is mentally, physically and emotionally ready for the tournament, which commences on Tuesday, July 18 in Bahamas.

Marian will represent team Ghana alongside Emmanuel Nyan Plange in the tennis competition during the Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas.

Meanwhile, another Ghanaian female athlete Rafiatu Nuhu has also declared readiness for the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas.

The 17 year old athlete disclosed that, she is prepared for the tournament and her goal is to win a gold medal for the country.

“I have trained very well and believe that I return with a medal. I want to win a gold medal when we get to Bahamas,” she said.

Rafiatu will be involved in the women 400 metres race as she hopes to improve her best time of 53.53 seconds in Bahamas.

Team Ghana is expected to leave the shores of the country tomorrow Saturday, July 14.
