All Ghanaian kickboxers who wish to join the national team are supposed to register for the next justify tournament at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 25, 2018.
Registration which is FREE is at the Ghana Kickboxing Association office at Accra sports stadium from May 18, 2018.
According to the President of the Ghana Kickboxing Association, Nii Adotey Dzata 1, they want to form the national team to engage in some international fights and want to use the platform provided by Bigzie Sports to get the event underway. He commended the SWAG for considering and supporting Kickboxing in Ghana, and hoped that more kickboxers will shine and be recognised.
President Nii Adotey Dzata said Kickboxing is the fastest growing sport in Ghana and most attractive, while the fighters are dedicated and committed to the sport..
Meanwhile, the newly formed Ghana Kickboxing Supporters Union has also congratulated Alhassan Okine, the SWAG Kickboxer of the year who has six title belts for his achievements and prayed that he maintains all his six titles. All of Ghana’s best kickboxers in the diaspora have hailed Alhassan Okine for winning 2017 SWAG kickboxer of the year award.
The kickboxers are Switzerland based Lawrence Nyanyo Nmai, Roosevelt Morrison in the United Kingdom, Issaka Issah in Australia, and Steavano Kojo also in Switzerland, all based outside Ghana sent warm felicitations to the new winner of the award instituted by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG).
In a new development, Pro Fighting Factory Gym has appointed Sammy Heywood Okine as new vice president and Cecil Teiko Stanley of The Image Sports as Communications Manager.
The Pro Fighting Factory Gym has also been invited to a training camp in Thailand. Ghana’s top kickboxer, Lawrence Nmai will lead the team.
