Ghana’s president leaves for three-nation visit

Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo left here on Tuesday for Togo to begin an official three-nation West African tour.

Akufo-Addo leavesThe first phase of the tour, which will end on May 7, will also take him to Burkina Faso and Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana’s immediate neighbors, the presidency said in a release.

It said the visits would afford President Akufo-Addo the opportunity to formally introduce himself as the new Ghanaian leader to the governments and peoples of the neighboring countries.

He will also explore and deepen bilateral relations with them and reiterate Ghana’s full commitment to the regional bloc’s project. Enditem
