Gideon Baah, second from left, debuted for Red Bulls in friendly loss

Ghana international defender Gideon Baah made his debut for American side New York Red Bulls by playing in their pre-season friendly loss against Major League Soccer rivals Orlando City on Wednesday night.

The 24-year-old was handed a starting berth by manager Jesse Marsch and he played until he was replaced by Aaron Long in the second-half.

Baah started the game alongside Ghana attacker Lloyd Sam whose impressive cross provided the assist for the first goal for Red Bulls.

The former Asante Kotoko defender joined Red Bulls on a long-term deal after leaving Finnish side giants HJK Helsinki.
