Gideon Jung has discussed part of his life
Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung has explained he walks from his house to Hamburg’s training grounds everyday because he is yet to get a driver’s license from German authorities.
The 21-year-old precocious central midfielder has rose to fame in Hamburg and the Bundesliga after gatecrashing the Dinosaurs regular squad and stealing the show in games.
Jung, born to Ghanaian parents in Germany, has fast become fans-favourite at Hamburg and he has shed lights on why he walks to Hamburg’s training grounds from his residence at Eidelstedt everyday.
“I have no driver’s license. Every day I walk into the Stadium from Eidelstedt, [its] about 20 minutes. I love to do it,” he told Hamburg’s official website.
The German Football Association has been on the wheels of the lanky midfielder to lure him to commit his international future to the German country.
