Ghanaian Investment Fund for Electronic Communication (GIFEC), has presented computers and accessories to 25 Girls Senior High Schools (SHS) and 10 Integrated Community Centres for Employable Skills (ICCES).
The fund which is aimed at extending Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to underserved and unserved communities in the country, presented 500 desktop computers and 500 uninterrupted power supply (UPS) systems, worth GH? 1,020,000.
The event which took place on Thursday at the forecourt of the State House was attended by representatives from the various schools and the ICCES.
The Fund has equipped 150 institutions with internet accessibility and also all the 25 district libraries as well as nine out of ten regional libraries in the country.
