Family, friends and colleagues,
The NPP is a party of many, it is made up of people who believe in the true emancipation of the Ghanaian and above all, those who subscribe to development in freedom.
If there is anyone who doubted this, I am confident you have now got your desired answer. The composition of the new executives and the election of Paul Afoko as our Chairman and Freddie Blay as his vice should not give you any further doubt that the party is open to people from all the corners of Ghana, regardless of their ethnicity, tribe, persuasion or affiliation. The party always select leaders who are committed and ready to serve Ghana.
Today is palm Sunday, and it happens to be the day NPP has chosen its Executives and have been ushered to begin the journey which will mark our triumphant entry to the Jubilee (Flagstaff) house, come January 2017. Just like Jericho fell, I am confident that on 07/12/16 Ghanaians, with our thumbs, will show the NDC the exist and restore the NPP back in government.
I would like to congratulate all the elected executives, especially my colleague contestant, Sammi Awuku who has won the mandate of the people as our next Youth Organiser. I am committed to helping him, with every tissue and blood in me, to support the party and the youth department to deliver victory 2016. I humbly call on all the other contestants and their supporters to join hands and come together to rebuild for victory 2016.
A special thanks go to my campaign team. I am indeed humbled by the honour bestowed on me. You stood by me through thick and thin and have worked tirelessly thus far. I pray that the good Lord restore all you have lost and bless you abundantly. You have given hope to women, many who did not even know that we can compete in any position. You have given hope to the party, to recognise that there are young women who support and are very committed to this party.
I would like to thank all my supporters and everyone who prayed and kept me in his or her thoughts throughout this campaign. There has been many highs and a few lows but overall, a big victory for NPP.
Let us all work together to make NPP the Great Elephant that we all believe in. God bless you all.
Have a good Easter.
Kukurudo! Eshi Rado Rado Rado!!!!!
Yours in the service,
Gifty Oware -Aboagye
