Story: Kojo Ansah K?dua

A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD?girl (name withheld) has stabbed her sixteen-year-old sister at Akyem Old Tafo in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern region.

The victim was rushed to the Koforidua Government Hospital after being referred from Akyem Tafo Government Hospital due to the gravity of injury sustained.

Information gathered by the Daily Heritage from family sources indicates that the two siblings were having fun in the house at the absence of their parents when the incident occurred.

The sources?were not too clear what triggered the action by the 13-year-old girl,?but information gathered by the paper has it that, the 13-year-old girl was provoked by her 16-year-old sister and as a result allegedly?pulled a sharp knife from her pocket and?stabbed her sister on her ribs.

The victim, who was bleeding profusely?with blood gushing out from the rib felt unconscious few minutes?after the incident and was rushed to the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital?by a Good Samaritan.

The victim was, however, referred immediately?to the Koforidua Government Hospital?where she was admitted and discharged yesterday.

The Akyem Tafo District Police Commander, ASP John Yeboah told the paper that, the case has not been formally reported to the police, but assured that investigations will be conducted on the matter.
