Glico Life Insurance Company has introduced an online client portal into the Ghanaian market which will enable the over 200,000 policy holders to access to their policy details online with minimal transactional errors. The online client portal will also assist the policy holders to check and print their statements as well.
Speaking at Glico Life [Customer Service Month] Individual Life Policy Holders Forum held in Accra, the Managing Director [MD] of Glico Life Insurance Mr. E . Forkuo Kyei explained that they have been inundated with the request by policyholders on statements, a requirement for every policyholder.
Adding that, they have had difficulties with sending statements due to the challenges with the postal system in the country. This he said, it is in this regard the company took a keen interest in finding solutions to the challenge in order to enhance good customer service delivery.
According to him, the implementation of the online statement is in phases. ?We are migrating data commencing with established sources with online payments systems for the first phase. The second phase will ensure that sources with cheque payments systems can access their statements, and then we would complete the project with giving policyholders with standing orders/ cash payments access to check their statements online” he explained.
Adding that the company has tasked itself to complete to the phase three by June 2015. ?Doing this does not mean policyholders cannot request for printed statements. We will continue to print statements for policyholders in all our offices upon requests” he assured.
He said the company was committed to providing its clients and insuring public with life insurance products that would cater for their every need.
More so, he noted that payments sources that can access their statements online are: all policyholders whose premiums are received from Controller and Accountant Generals Department, Ghana Police, Vodafone Ghana and Central College.
