The Akwamuhene of Goaso traditional area, Nana Adu Gyamfi, has praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Asunafo North, Robert Sarfo-Mensah for putting up an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) complex for the people of Goaso and its environs.

The Akwamuhene, who spoke on behalf of the Omanhene of Goaso, called on the people to make good use of the facility so as to update their knowledge on things happening around the world.

Nana Adu Gyamfi was speaking at the commissioning of the ICT complex at Goaso. The building houses an ICT training center, internet caf?, business center, store room, secretary?s office, and washroom.

The Asunafo North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), who is also the NDC parliamentary candidate for the area, Mohammed Kwaku Doku, praised his contender for putting up the structure to help in the learning of ICT in the municipality.

He called on Ghanaians to put aside party colours when it came to issues that would bring development to the people of Ghana, and join hands in bringing development into the country.

According to him, he gave way for free flow of funds for the building of the structure because he believed in development.

The MCE advised the youth who would study at the ICT center to always learn positive things that would improve their lives because internet could make and also unmake them.

Hon. Sarfo-Mensah, who is seeking re-election, said he came to realize the importance of ICT when he travelled outside the country and had to use computer for every transaction. However, he became stranded because he did not know how to use the computer.

He therefore called on the people to take the opportunity being given them in order to benefit from the facility.

According to him, the center was for the people of Asunafo North not for any political party and called on the people to live together as one people and upgrade their knowledge in ICT.

He also mentioned that the business part of the ICT center was to help in financing the facility since the Assembly could not finance it alone.

The MP called on the education director to open the facility everyday so that the people could get access to the place and study, and also cautioned the people to take good care of the facility.

The Asunafo North Education Director, A.Y. Yeboah thanked the MP for the facility and said he would make sure the place was put to good use to help the people of the municipality.
