A 56-year old man, a coordinating director of the Local Government Service, has been installed the Nyanfahene of Gomoa Adzentem under the stool name Nana Kobina Buabeng I.

Known in private life as Mr. Daniel Kobina Koomson currently with Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Assembly, Nana Buabeng was earlier in the day carried shoulder high through the principal streets of the town amidst Asafo drumming and dancing to the durbar ground where customary and traditional rites were performed to signify his installation by the Odikro (chief) of the town, Nana Asare Andoh I and his elders.

Nana Buabeng I later took the oath of office and allegiance before the Odikro, other sub-chiefs, and the people.

He thanked the Odikro and all who contributed towards his installation, adding that he would collaborate with all and sundry towards the rapid development of the area.

Education is his topmost priority and has therefore promised to collaborate with the chiefs and other stakeholders to work hard to raise the fallen standard of education in the town.

Nana Buabeng I called on his people to rally behind him in order to work together to accelerate development in the area.

Nana Odikro Andoh I advised Nana Buabeng I to consult his elders at all times and hoped he would use his rich expertise to better the lot of the people.

He told him to let God be his guide to achieve success.

Mrs. Georgina Nkrumah Aboah, the District Chief Executive of Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa led a delegation to grace the occasion. GNA
