Managing Director ofGreen Grass Technology (GGT),Frank Boahene, has revealed that governments inability to pay him for the past three years has seen him lose all his properties to his major debtors.
Frank Boahene made the pronouncement when reporters probed why the grass on the field of the Accra Sports Stadium was bushy, making kicking and passing very difficult.
The Black Stars were confronted with the challenge of using the bushy field for their fist training on Monday before the field managers at Dansoman were instructed by the Management Committee Chairman, George Afriyie to mow the field on Tuesday.
Frank Boahene revealed that GGT is unable to pay its staff because the government has failed to pay the firm any pitch maintenance fees since 2012.
The state of the pitch is unfortunate. The workers have decided to embark on a strike for some few weeks now.
I have been pleading with them but we as a company dont have anything to pay the workers, Boahene revealed.
