Not quite long ago, we all witnessed the Asokwa saga during the primaries which culminated in the unlawful arrest of Hon Maxwell Kofi Jumah and the invocation of curses. A wrong electoral album was used for the election thus rendering the results null and void.
Our painstaking checks have revealed that that naked robbery and conspiracy was heavily orchestrated by Madam Patricia Appiagyei’s husband, K.K.Sarpong, in close cahoots with Chairman Asare Bediako as well as the under-fire general secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong. Also Confidence Baah of Kesbben TV was used to misinform the general public. The big question is if Hon Maxwell shredded 36 pages up the NPP electoral album, then what album was used for the election. All that we a asking for is a cleaned Delegate album and a subsequent re-run of the primaries.
A petition to that effect has been forwarded to the office of the GS, but, it saddens us to say that no concrete outcome has been realized from this petition after three months. We believe this is being done deliberately by the GS just to frustrate the masses choice. This may endanger Npp victory in the Asokwa Constituency come 2016
In a party as democratic as the NPP, one would expect the chief scribe to remain neutral, but as bad luck would have it, the opposite is what we are being fed in our party.
The General Secretary has blatantly refused to allow the committee mandated to handle such matters to sit on it for obvious reasons. Is it not worrying that K.K.Sarpong, a non-executive member of the constituency, played a role foreign to an outsider. In an ideal situation, the likes of K.K.Sarpong would have no locus whatsoever to order for voting to continue when after the Regional Chairman himself in the person of Chairman Wuntumi had personally stopped the election in Asokwa.
If Kwabena Agyapong claims he isn’t a party to this grand scheme to outdo Kofi Jumah, then he should order the committee to sit on the case. We have evidence to proof that Hon Patricia with some constituency executives in the person of Akwanuasa and the Organiser have been meeting the delegates to inform them that according to KAA, Hon Maxwell’s petition will never be looked into.
The name of the game is fairness. Asokwa deserves better than this daylight robbery. For sanity to prevail and for the party to maximize its gains in Asokwa, we demand that this matter is treated with the sort of seriousness it warrants for a re-run to take place in the not too-distant future!
We also would like the party to be aware that we are willing and prepared to walk the extra mile to seek justice in case they turn deaf ears to our calls to have a genuine primaries in Asokwa. Three month is way too long for us not to be heard.
ASOKWA WILL WORK AGAIN
