The president-elect was followed by the main opposition leader and candidate for the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea, Cellou Dalein Diallo, with 31.47 percent of the vote.
During the announcement of the final verdict on Saturday, the president of Constitutional Court Kelefa Sall said the court had received the provisional results of the presidential election as well as complaints over alleged voting irregularities raised by three candidates.
On Oct. 11, 68.43 percent of Guinea’s 4 million registered voters turned up to elect a president for the next five years.
Sall said Conde’s second five-year term will begin on Dec. 21. Enditem
