The wife of the late Vice President Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for honouring his late husband with the just ended second National Sanitation Day.
She said the move by President Mahama was a demonstration of unity in diversity and the placing of national interest above political differences.
Hajia Ramatu, made these remarks when a delegation led by the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Julius Debrah stopped over at her residence at Cantonments in Accra, during his inspection tour of various communities engaged in the National Sanitation Day Programme on Saturday.
She said the Aliu Mahama?s family was exited and appreciated the honour by the government.
