The Ghana Police Service has provided health services to members of the Islamic community in transit at the Hajj Village as part of strategies to take policing closer to the public.
The gesture is also geared towards winning the hearts and minds of the people in a bid to strengthen partnerships for effective policing.
A news brief from the Police said two Police Mobile Clinic vehicles were deployed and stationed at the Village to provide health care services to the people.
It said the mobile hospitals came fully equipped with an X-ray machine, surgical theater equipment, mobile ventilator, defibrillator, oxygen delivery devices, laboratory oven, centrifuge and microscope and a nine bedded tent with power supply and accessories, among others.
Also, a medical doctor, nurses and other health professionals are on board to attend to patients.
