The source said that Hamas deputy chief Musa Abu Marzooq is scheduled to arrive from Qatar to Cairo to join the Gaza delegation later on Saturday.

“The delegation will stay in Cairo for a few days to hold talks with the Egyptian intelligence security to discuss a series of issues, mainly the movement’s alledged involvement in assassinating former Egyptian Attorney,” said the source.

The reopening of Rafah crossing point on the borders between Gaza Strip and Egypt will also be a major issue to be discussed, the source said, adding that the delegation may pay visits to other Arab states.

Egypt accused Hamas of being involved in damaging security stability in Egypt, which Hamas has been denying.

Ties between Hamas and Egypt got tensed right after the ouster of former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in 2013. Morsi has been establishing good ties with Hamas, which is an extension to the worldwide Muslim Brotherhood. Enditem
