Hamza Mohammed Unlikely to Return to Active Football

Ex-Ghana Under-20 captain Hamza Mohamemd has ruled out a return to active football.

Mohammed, 35, has called time on his career more than a decade of playing actively.

The ex-Kotoko striker has been inactive for over five years and says he’s done with the game.

“No, I think we have served our time and we have to pave way for the young ones,” he is quoted by Ghanasportsonline.

“I am not thinking of returning to active football, I could consider something else in football but not to play, so that is way out of the plan for now.”

The former King Faisal defender captained Ghana’s Under-20 team to clinch silver at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Nigeria in 1999.

He made the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations in 2002 and 2006 in Mali and Egypt respectively.

He had stint with New Zealand side Knights FC and Armenian outfit Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt.
