The Chancellor of Landmark University, Dr. David Oyedepo has urged newly admitted students of the University to be purpose driven, as lack of direction makes a failure out of any individual.
He stated this at an occasion organised to declare open the 2013/2014 academic session of the University, at the University Campus, Omu-Aran.
Oyedepo, who described life as an adventure in opportunity, which individual either seize or fling, reiterated that the University is a platform that offers every student an opportunity to quickly locate their destination and how to get there.
According to him, the four steps that guarantee a successful adventure in life are purpose, knowledge, self-discipline and diligence. He however urged students to imbibe the virtues.
While appreciating the faithfulness of God in the affairs of the institution, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Ola-Rotimi Ajayi, disclosed that over 300 new students had been registered for various programmes on the first day of resumption.
On hand to welcome the chancellor and his team were the deputy vice-chancellor, registrar, deans of colleges, student affairs, directors, faculty and members of staff of the university.
