Sekondi-based club, Hasaacas Ladies reigned supreme over Ampem Darkoa Ladies again to win the maiden First Lady’s Cup played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday evening.
Ampem Darkoa’s Mavis Owusu scored in the first stanza before Jafaru Jafara cancelled the opponent’s lead 20 minutes from recess to take the game to penalty kicks.
Ampem Darkoa dominated play and were determined to emerge victorious for the first time over Hasaacas Ladies, but the latter proved superiority again to humble the Techiman team.
After the lottery of penalty kicks were evoked, it was Coach Yussif Basigi’s charges who posted a painful 4-3 defeat to Ampem Darkoa.
This would be the fourth time this year that Hasaacas ladies have beaten Ampem Darkoa in final games.
The First Lady’s Cup would add to Hasaacas’ five trophies won this season including the WAFU Zone B championship, Women’s Premier League, Women’s FA Cup, and the Super Cup.
