Isaac Tetteh aka T.T. Brothers
Former Hearts of Oak Board member Isaac Tetteh aka T.T. Brothers has expressed fear about the Phobians slipping to the lower league.
T.T. Brothers, now president of Pure Joy FC, a Division One side, believes what befell city rivals Great Olympics some seasons ago could hit Hearts if care is not taken.
Speaking at the annual T.T. Brothers Ltd party for children of the Tema SOS School on New Year?s Day, he hinted, ?What happened to Oly could happen to Hearts. Hearts could be relegated.
?How many of us thought Oly could be relegated? Even when the signs were clear, many rubbished it. It could happen to Hearts too.
It is high time those at the helm of affairs sat up and put things right. I think pointing accusing fingers at some individuals will not help. Let?s learn from our mistakes and move on.
?Money is not all it takes to run a club. Some are intelligent but not wealthy, while others are rich but lack some basics when it comes to running a club. It takes the two to make it happen,? he added.
He rubbished claims that Hearts? recent woes were linked to the paying of losing bonuses by some top officials.
T.T. Brothers admonished members, especially those in the top hierarchy, to come together to pursue a common goal for the club.
He cited Ato Ahwoi as an exceptional board chairman of the club, and believes if some of his ideals are revisited, it will put the club back on track.
The club?s below average performance compelled management to end its two-year marriage with C.K. Akunnor abruptly and engage the services of David Duncan who, it is believed, could restore the 2000 continental masters? lost glory.
However, since his arrival, nothing has changed and Hearts are languishing third from bottom of the Glo Premier League with 14 points from 14 games.
