Hearts of Oak Team Manager Sabahn Quaye has revealed threatening to shoot an unnamed player in the dressing room to boost the performance of the players in their 3-2 win over Olympique de Ngor.
The Phobians clinched the shocking away win over the Senegalese side on Saturday to progress in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Hearts of Oak came from behind to secure an epic 3-2 win to progress on a 5-3 aggregate scoreline.
The Accra-based side were down 1-0 at halftime in the game played in Mbour.
Sabahn Quaye who has just returned from an international assignment with the Black Stars to resume his club duties at Hearts revealed he threatened to kill a player for missing glorious chances in his weird half-time team talk.
?At halftime [against Olympique de Ngor] I told one player if I had a gun I would have shot him dead for missing glorious chances,? Sabahn Quaye told Asempa FM.
?We were being very wasteful in front of goal and I knew we could win the match.
?The players needed kick on their backside to sit up in the second half and I think the stern halftime team talk did the trick.?
Hearts will now be facing Malian club Djoliba in the next qualification round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
