Accra Hearts of Oak shockingly parted ways with forward Joseph Esso on Friday due to the high demands of the player, according to media reports.
The news of the striker’s departure has been received with huge surprise.
However, it can be confirm that the two parties failed to reach an agreement to extend the former Dwarfs forward’s contract due to his huge demands.
According to information gathered, the 23-year old was demanding GHC 4500 as monthly salary.
Esso also wanted GHC 100,000 for a year extension but the Phobians were only prepared to hand him that amount for three years.
Hearts initially proposed a GHC 60,000 a year deal but the striker refused.
Esso joined the Rainbow club in 2018 from Ebusua Dwarfs. He made 14 appearances in the 2019/20 season, scoring three times before the league was cancelled due to Covid-19.
The Accra based outfit who pride themselves as Continental Club Masters have also parted ways with defenders Benjamin Agyare and Christopher Bonney, forwards Bernard Arthur and Abubakar Traore.
