Hearts of Oak Football Club has unveiled a new three-story commercial complex, underscoring their dedication to enhancing global competitiveness and strengthening their brand.
The board of directors, led by majority shareholder Togbe Afede XIV, officially inaugurated the facility on Tuesday, marking a significant step in the club’s strategic development.
Togbe Afede XIV reaffirmed Hearts of Oak’s commitment to excellence, stating, “This commercial centre is a testament to our ongoing efforts to maximize the commercial value of our brand.
It complements our secretariat and underscores our ambition to remain competitive on and off the field.”
Accompanying Togbe Afede XIV were board members Vincent Sowah Odotei, Akwasi Agyemang, Ivy Heward-Mills, and Delali Anku. Addressing recent challenges, including struggles in past seasons, Togbe Afede XIV assured supporters of imminent improvements.
“We recognize that infrastructure alone is not sufficient. We are focused on strengthening our internal administration, recruiting top-tier talent, and building a robust technical team,” he emphasized.
“Our goal is to assemble a formidable squad that will bring success to the club.”
Hearts of Oak emphasized that ongoing infrastructure initiatives, including developments at Kpobiman, are integral to their global competitiveness strategy.
The club is set to commence training next week in preparation for the upcoming 2024/2025 Ghana Football season. This follows their recent participation in the Democracy Cup, where they lost to Asante Kotoko.
The season opener is scheduled against newly-promoted Basake Holy Stars between September 6 and 9, marking the beginning of their campaign to reclaim their position in Ghanaian football.
