Experienced coach Herbert Addo says none of his colleagues deserve to be awarded as Best Coach of the season as their performance is not based on merit.
AshantiGold coach Bashir Hayford is considered a clear favourite to land the accolade at Friday’s Premier League awards ceremony after leading the Miners to title glory last season.
He however faces competition from Abdulrahman Ameyaw of Aduana Stars and WAFA’s John Kila.
Herbert Addo who started the season at Hearts of Oak but left in the middle of a poor campaign however says coaches in Ghana don’t win matches on merits for which reason they should not be awarded.
“I have been in the game for so many years, we as coaches kill ourselves for the job but still lose the match because somebody has managed to pay somewhere so our real performance are not reflected,”Addo told Rainbow Radio.
“Ghanaian coaches have a lot of problems because outside forces determine games.
“I was not happy with what went on last year there was so much politics in selecting the Coaches for the award, if I was there I wouldn’t have appointed anyone.”
Herbert Addo has returned to take over the head coaching job at Inter Allies following the departure of Paa Kwesi Fabin.
