The Headmaster for SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Mr Felix Kyeremah has called on NGOs, organizations, financial institutions and philanthropists to come and support needy but brilliant students with scholarships. He also appealed for the provision of a school bus.
During an interview with The Moment he stated that the school is not only for the orphans but to the community as well. He averred that students? performance has been encouraging as he commended teachers for doing a good job in training the children to be responsible leaders.
He said most of the students, because of their academic performance have play leadership roles in the municipality and many of them have found themselves in higher institutions.
The school was established in 1992 with four hundred and six students and thirty teachers.
The aim was to build families for children in need to help them shape their own future and share in the development of their communities.
