Mr Adubofour was speaking to the media in an interview when a section of the affected people raised issues concerning the neglect of the contractor and authorities to do due diligence after their property were destroyed.

‘’The next two weeks, the contractor will bring half of the estimated cost of your property affected because, the law stipulates that , half of the amount should be paid initially to the beneficiary and then the other half is paid after it has been approved by the land evaluation ‘’ he assured .

He further indicated that all were taken care of and that the affected people should be patient because the government had factored into the project all the issues being raised before the start of the project.

Mr Adubofour said, government would ensure that the property of every citizen was protected and safe so that at the end of the day peace would prevail and the road could be constructed to benefit everyone economically.

Ms Vanessa Nkansah, one of the affected person’s said for some months, they were promised payment for the destruction of their home, however she was yet to receive any payment.

The road construction started late in 2018 and was expected to be completed in April this year, but due to variations in the project, the project would officially be completed in October this year .
