In a landmark event for the Mamprugu kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Jewu Soale I, King of Gonjaland, made history by paying a courtesy visit to Nayiri Mahami Sherigah at the Nayiri palace in Nalerigu.
This unprecedented visit marks the first between the two kingdoms, underscoring a significant step towards fostering unity and peace.
Weeks earlier, Yagbonwura had similarly visited the Dagbon kingdom at the Yaa Naa palace, further cementing regional bonds.
“This initiative is pivotal in promoting peace and unity among our kingdoms,” remarked North East Regional Minister, Hon. Zakaria Yidana, speaking to Channel One News about the visit’s profound significance. “It will strengthen the bonds that bind these historic kingdoms together.”
