Promises to distribute the meals again on Friday and then continue every day when the Games commences on November 27
Honeywell Nigeria Plc, makers of flour products, on Wednesday, started serving free noodles meals to people who are working on the facilities for the 18th National Sports Festival at Teslim Balogun Stadium.
The gesture was also extended to visitors at the venue.
Chinwe Uju, the Supervisor of the company?s team distributing the meals, said in Lagos that what they did was to test-run their schedules for the distribution during the Games.
She disclosed that they would distribute the meals again on Friday and then continue every day when the Games commences on November 27
“We are in the Games to throw our support for the success of the fiesta.
“We have good customer patronage in Lagos and this is why we are embarking on free cooked noodles meals for all that come to watch the Games.
“At the beginning, we will only be at the Teslim Balogun Stadium but as the Games progresses we will spread to other venues of the festival.
“We are going to serve the participants, spectators and indeed, anybody that cares,?? she said.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Navy are rehearsing their match past for the hoisting of the Games flag at the opening ceremony.
Lt. Ayodeji Olanrewaju, who commanded the parade also, said the Nigerian Army was going to provide music at the Games opening and closing ceremonies.
The Boys Brigade is expected to hoist the Fair Play flag.
