Sone Aluko has tipped the current Hull City squad to be the best in the club?s history after they won automatic promotion to the EPL.
Aluko said he is confident he and his team-mates can go on to bigger and better things. ?To win promotion this season is a massive achievement for us,? said Aluko.
?We?re only the second team in the club?s history to win promotion to the top division and we?ve got the chance now to go on and become the club?s best ever team.
?That is what is ahead of us now. From the team?s perspective, everybody is over the moon and promotion has made everything we?ve been through this season worthwhile.?
Aluko?s first full season in English football has been anything but plain-sailing. A fine start saw him bag eight goals by the end of November before an Achilles problem ended his campaign January.
However, the former Rangers striker has admitted seeing the team win promotion to the top flight was a fine way to round it off, and he can?t wait to be back in action next season.
?Words can?t describe how I felt last Saturday afternoon,? Aluko said.
?It was happiness, relief ? the kind of stuff you dream about as a youngster. It would have been nicer without the roller coaster in the final weeks, but we?ll take it any way it comes.
?It was torture to watch from the sidelines and I think in the last five minutes of the game against Cardiff, my heart-rate would have been higher than the players out on the pitch!
?That day summed up the Championship this season ? it was some script and must have been brilliant for the neutrals.
?I can?t wait for the Premier League now. I don?t want to go on holiday, I just wish the first game was only a couple of weeks away.
?I can?t wait to come back for pre-season, and I hate pre-season so that is some statement for me to make!?
