LGBTQ+ members in the country are lamenting over their safety after an alleged abuse of a woman believed to be affiliated with the group.

This development comes a few months after the parliament of Ghana passed an anti-gay bill that will tighten the laws against members of the LGBTQ+ community in the country.

A social media user known as Princessofaccra has come out to narrate her ordeal in the hands of some unscrupulous persons who took the law into their hands and molested her over her sexuality.

Further investigation revealed that the woman known in real life as Princess Arthur wrote on social media “It is sad to see human beings like yourself treat you with such inhumanity only because you choose to love differently than they know of..”

“It’s disappointing and heartbreaking at the same time. That’s the only thing I’m gonna say about the ordeal I went through. God is in control and I leave justice to him.”

She went on to add “I do not understand why I can’t feel safe in a country I live in because of my sexuality. This is insane and I don’t wish for anyone to go through what I’ve been through.” Ms Arthur insists that she will reveal details once she feels safe.
