Aspiring Member of Parliament for the Korle-Klottey constituency from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Leeford Kpakpo Quarshie is confident that he will defeat the New Patriotic Party?s Nii Noi Nortey in the 2016 Parliamentary election after winning the primaries.
According to him, he is a very popular person due to his philanthropic projects. Mr. Quarshie is also reported to have secured employment and scholarship for some youths in the constituency.
Tsatsu, as he is popularly called has pledged to ensure development in the constituency when given the mandate.
Leeford Kpakpo Quarshie is the great grandson of Tetteh Quarshie, the man who first brought Cocoa to Ghana and to emulate his great grandfather, he said he had good intensions for the aged who have been ignored in the community.
The NDC will be electing its parliamentary candidates on the 7th of Novenber and ?Tsatsu? believes he will receive the mandate of the people ahead of Dr. Ezanator Rawlingses, daughter of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Mr. Quarshie has served the NDC party for the past 15 years and he officially picked forms on Thursday to contest for the parliamentary primaries in November.
Speaking to the press at one of the party?s office at Paloma close to Kwame Nkrumah Circle, he declared his intention to help the Party retain its sit in the Korle-Klottey constituency.
