Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo state and former Interior Minister Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho yesterday presented his running mate, Chief Ike Ibeh for the February 28 governorship election to the public in Owerri, the state capital.

According to him, ?In choosing a Deputy Governorship candidate, it was more like choosing a Deputy Chief Executive Office (CEO) in a thriving enterprise.  Ibeh is trustworthy and reliable. His value, forthrightness, commitment to good governance and enviable pedigree of integrity stands him out at all times. ?

He however said that the State needs  men of proven integrity such  as Ibeh who have the fear of God and are not weighed down by moral encumbrances and political baggages. Ihenacho further disclosed that his campaign train had covered the entire Imo North (Okigwe zone) and tremendous progress.

?We are mounting a vigorous and robust campaign sweeping across the 305 wards and autonomous communities in Imo state. We also want to empty the myth that there is crisis in APGA, having observed that some people have been at great pain to discredit the party and convey the impression that there is an internal crisis in the party.?

Daily Times recalls that Chief Ibeh was a former Speaker in the State House of Assembly during the third Republic and one of the close confide of the ex-governor of the State, Chief Achike Udenwa  during his eight years in office.
