An accredited private Senior High School (SHS) and a remedial school, Ideal College, has begun writing its first mock examination.
The mock examination is to prepare students very well for the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in October/November 2013.
The school which was established in 2002 and adjudged the best remedial school in Ghana in 2009 and 2010 has indicated its objective to achieve excellence in the academic field once again.
Speaking to Today, the administrator at the Sakaman branch of the school, Mr. Eleazer Parry, said the corporate philosophy of Ideal College is that students have a seed of genius inherent in them which required only conducive environment and guidance to make it flourish.
?It is our aim to make sure students do their best to obtain good grades for that is the joy of every student who obtains training from the school. Therefore, the school puts in efficient and effective tuition and learning mechanisms to ensure quality education,? he noted.
Recounting the history of the school, the administrator said, ?the school which started with 50 students and 6 teachers currently has over one thousand students and well trained, hardworking and motivated teachers who take the students through the best tuitions to prepare them for their final examination under the Ghana Education Service?.
?Ideal College which also has foreign students from neighboring West African countries such as La Cote D?Ivoire, Togo and Nigeria is among the best remedial schools in Ghana,? he stressed.
